Kia Ora whanau. Today we awoke to an overcast and windy morning in Paradise Bay. After our morning swim and chores were completed, breakfast was devoured by our hungry trainees. Our plan for the day was to sail to Russell for some quick repairs to the ship and a chance to explore the Hell Hole of the Pacific.
We upped anchor and set off with a nice 20 knot North Easterly breeze which enabled us to have a cracking sail all the way to Russell. On arrival we set off to explore Flagstaff Hill and everything Russell had to offer. After ship repairs were done we then set off back into the Bay of Islands where a nice swell had developed and our trainees enjoyed riding the bowsprit all the way to Punga Cove where we will be anchoring for the night. Goodnight.
