Kia ora whanau from the good ship to thy land lubbers. Today started with our usual morning swim with all our trainees and crew taking the plunge at 0700. Connor being first, with the rest following shortly behind….. Then straight into morning chores followed by breakfast and dishes. Once completed, we did some lessons on chart work, navigation, latitude and longitude and fishing regulations.
By then the trainees were getting restless so we decided to go diving to collect some kinas kutai, and koura. Te Aho, Tarsh, Connor, Chaz, Phoenix, Toby, Charles, Wayne and Rob all had a blast searching the caves of Whale Bay. We returned in time for macaroni and cheese cooked by our wonderful chefs, Pru, Nia, Kingston and Setareh under the guided hand of Janna. Thanks guys was mean…!!!
Once consumed and our bellies full we weighed anchor and set sail for Moturua so we could stretch our sea fairing legs….. we are now parked up in Parekura bay and the trainees have settled in well and are enjoying each others company all is good………..
