We woke up enveloped by mist in Whangaroa Harbour after a good night’s sleep. This place is truly magical. Our daily swim in  flat waters, chores and breakfast done – (the routine is now habit with the crew), we prepared ourselves for a good tramp. Not a very long one, but a spectacular one nonetheless. We climbed the Duke’s Nose (it’s not a very long hike, about 45 minutes one way), and reached the top to be treated to amazing views. It’s definitely worth scaling the rocks near the top to get there

After that, it was time for another dive – and a successful one at that! Five crayfish and a large snapper  later, we felt ready for our barbecue ashore in the evening. A very satisfying day indeed!
