Its been a really fun day today on the Good Ship. This morning swim went down a treat, most people were up at 6.45 and the bell rang as per usual at 0700hrs, thou everyone had already been in the water a few times, and well on the way to breakfast…
After a few lessons, the rain packed it in, so Captain Richard decide we should gear up in wet weather clothes and head out for a sail… it was wet wet wet…  absolutely torrential!!! We put two tucks in the mains’l and one in the fore, ready for the big blows, and trundelled off to Pipi Bay.
The deluge continued for an hour or so after the anchor went down at Pipi Bay, and most trainees were saturated, so very keen to hang out down below with a hot chocolate. Cheyenne and Harold and Kylie braved the wet, and got stuck into some fishing. A few nice sized snappers in the bucket, and the rain cleared up. By this stage some had found their motivation for a dive or a fish, and came outside to get into it.. Ashlyn caught her very first legal snapper!!! And a few more snappers in the bucket…

By mid afternoon the wind had swung around to the ENE, so we weighed our anchor, and set sail back to Orokawa Bay…the sun managed a half hour appearance for sunset, so we had a drift fish though the entrance to Orokawa, pulling in another 2 snapper for our lunch tomorrow.
So we are settled in here, ready for the big weather to come next few days. All is well, and the spirits are cheerful and warm.
