Greetings from thy good ship to thy land lubbers. What an amazing day with a lot of things seen and done with our 1st refreshing mineral spa of the trip with Tahua and Rufaro leading the horde in the tide…. Once dried and togs hung up, straight into chores and breakfast…. After dishes were completed we did a quick game of line handling, refreshing and drilling our trainees on the sequence of lines needed to raise and drop our sails, with Tenika and Rufaro excelling in this challenge.day-2

While awaiting our soup and scones to reach perfection, our trainees turned their hands to knot tying, Hamish and Thomas mastering the knots in no time. After lunch and dishes stowed away, weighing anchor and setting sail for Tutukaka, upon rounding the headland to Smuggler’s Cove, we were greeted by 5 or 6 Orca which we observed from a distance as they roamed down along Ruakaka beach…

We are now anchored in Tutukaka for the night with trainees bonding well as the ship is ripe with laughter and singing
