First heads to appear on the decks in the morning were Kowhai, Zara and Johnny. Kowhai tipped the others by inches into the water. After all the chores were done Rob filled our trainees’ heads with information that one day may save lives at sea!
The sky showed signs of hope for us all, after yesterday’s dismal display. The wind also came to the party and provided perfect conditions for Captain Steve to put the crew through their paces, tacking and gybing off Roberton Island.
Sandy, Gabriel, Jennifer and Paris showed no fear when it came to climbing aloft and furling/ unfurling topsails.Tonight Whale bay is providing us a safe shelter for the night and with stronger winds expected tomorrow all of today’s sail training will be put to good use.
