Kia Ora whanau. We awoke this morning to liquid sunshine followed closely by the screams of 12 youngsters jumping into the refreshing ocean at 0700 hours. After chores were completed and breakfast was devoured it was time to do some lessons. Today we filled our trainees heads with lessons on buoys and beacons and safety at sea. It was now time to move on, so wrapping up in wet weather gear we raised the anchor and left the shelter of Deep water cove to go for a sail.

With the wind gusting and howling we sailed a big loop around the Islands and back in towards Jacks Bay. After we dropped the anchor we warmed up with a hot chocolate and pizza lunch. We are now staying nice and cozy away from the wind and rain, doing lessons and playing games while looking forward to curried sausages for dinner.
