We have begun our journey down the coast! Tonight we are anchored near Mimiwhangata Peninsular after sailing along in a stiff breeze and making great time. The morning started as usual, swim, duties and breakfast, followed by a lesson in basic navigation skills useful for our journey. Then we headed out. Past Motu Kokako (the Hole in the Rock) and the Cape Brett Light house turning South and sailing right down to the shelter of Paparahi Bay. Underway David and Jacob both had a go keeping the ship on course. Boy! Were we zooming along!! Once arrived hot chocolates were had in celebration and six of the boys went for a dive, returning with kina for all to eat. Now all are keeping warm inside and it is beginning to rain outside. The rest of the week is forecasted to be great weather. Who knows what we will see!
