Kia Ora Whanau. Today is the first day of our tremendous Tai Tokerau challenge. We met with our twelve tributes at Marsden Cove Marina on a refreshing winters morning. Shortly after the farewells were over we made our way to Urquharts Bay where we dropped anchor to enjoy a tasty soup lunch. After lunch our twelve tributes became familiar with the ship, living aboard and safety procedures.

With a passage plan made we upped anchor to start our long journey to Whangaruru Harbour with an estimated time of 6 hours. With the sun set and all the sails full we are making great time for our destination. Goodnight.
