The ship is coming back from its quick visit to Whangarei late this evening and will be ready to head off tomorrow for our first youth voyage.

Provisioning has been the order of the day and our shed is chock full of fresh fruit and vegables and the freezer is full of meat and chicken. The fridge is full of dairy produce and we bursting at the seams. A big thanks to Jenny & Guy Riegals for the yummy guavas, Heather Lindauer for the fejoas and chilli sauce, plus the Russell Community Gardens for the offer of silver beet. All we need is a ship to stow it on!

Steve is already in Whangarei and Sophie and Sam will be heading down shortly. They will be leaving at high tide around 1900 and coming up the coast over night. Our first sail trainee Alix has already arrived from Christchurch and she is going to get a head start as she joins them for the run up the coast.

Our crew have all got together today for a bit of a planning session for the next few months. Weather is looking for the next seven days and everyone is EXCITED!!
