Morning swim as usual however it was Stan who was first in. We went across to Army Bay and did the scenic walk around Moturua Island, it was a race against the weather, unfortunately the weather won and we all got wet. After a round of hot chocolate all was well again. There was a steady NE breeze so we took advantage of it and headed downwind into the township of Russell.
Here we had a history lesson provided by our friends at Pompallier Mission and Printery. It was then back to the vessel to prepare for our night’s anchorage in Matauwhi Bay where we are snug away from the 35 knot gusts. Everyone’s looking forward to making the most of our final day on the sea.
