This morning started with a beautiful morning swim and the sail trainees walked from their anchorage from on one side of Moturua to Army Bay on the other side. Kylie and Steve stayed on board getting organised and on their return they picked up the anchor with a quick lunch of fresh buns and mussels (yummy) while they headed out to set up hapuka line.

This afternoon’s sail was in 1.5m swell, so there there was a chance for bow riding on the bowsprit – always fun!. A little bit of seasickness and sadly no hapuka caught this afternoon.

After all the excitment, the Tucker went full steam to Deep Water cove for the overnight stay. It’s a beautiful spot and perfect as an anchorage. Kylie and the trainees are busy making guava and apple pie but have complained of no cream being on board! Ooops, thought there was some long life, so custard will have to surfice tonight.

Tomorrow, weather permitting they hope to have an early start at 0400 to set off to the Cavalli Islands. Watch this space!
