Waking this morning, the ship and crew are well up and tucked in the Whangaruru Harbour after seeking shelter from the overnight storm.

The swim was cancelled this morning as the southerly gale swept the decks. Breakfast after duties then into the classroom for navigation as we plot our course to the bay.
Souperb lunch with hot cheese scones yum yum….
Free time between squalls then an afternoon class before the wind eased and trainees spent some time going aloft, with Shadin and then Hoani conquering the Tucker challenge.
Settling in getting their anklet bracelets, plus playing cards cards and sketching and so many stories across the saloon table.
Looking forward to a full day sailing tomorrow.
