Kia ora Tucker whanau

Earlier wake up than usual today!  At 0630am we pulled up the anchor from Deepwater cove to assist a stunning sunrise by the Hole in the rock.  Despite the morning swell, we manage to get the dinghy out and take our trainees through the rock. We returned to deep water, as it’s a marine reserve and popular spot for diving. Isla and Mekayla formed a brilliant team together on the “down below” duties. Time for fun and a dive before lunch. Noah, Sarah and Emma are really good divers.  We caught and broke some Kina to feed the multiple variety’s of fish surrounding us. The fish were very curious. Meanwhile, the captain was cooking us a delicious Pumpkin soup, which was highly appreciated after a dive and a hot shower.

Back to business and time to set some sails and make our way to our final anchorage for the day, Opunga Cove. Peter did well today steering the ship multiple times. The long sail is followed by a brief tender lesson to some of them and a mini sail with the little tucker. Kairoa was the first and he did very well as he use to do it for his whole entire life before.

Maia Mekayla and Kayla did accomplished the tucker challenge! At this pace , the group will take over the ship sooner than expected. They are all awesome!
