Day four, ready for more! We rode the dingy into the shore. Ready to walk, ready to play, we’re in for another beautiful day. To a bigger sand beach together we walk, up the hill we go as we continue to talk. Walk, talk, sing dance, reaching the beach we continue to prance. Sand, space, sea and sky, as we dig holes and build castles, our spirits are high. Run, explore and climb the rocks, off come the shoes and off go the socks. Run? Run? You like to run? Well there are so many games we can play that are fun. “Sprint to collect the stick and you’re done, if you’re the fastest, then the game you have won.” Next we chucked a chicken so far, the winning team “stingrays” cheered a “hoorah🎉”.
It was time to return to our mighty tall-ship, to leave plenty of time for a post lunch cool dip. Out come the wetsuits, the snorkels, the fins, our days out here, we fill to the brims. “Look over here” “look here” “Look there!” The kina and crayfish they’re everywhere. Back on the deck of the R. Tucker T, the kina were proving a mighty good feed.
Lamb, roast vege, cauli and cheese, tonights dinner chef sure knows how to please! The students requested a night-walk burmer trail, where we hide in the bush to scare as they follow a rope rail. The students followed in pairs, filled with playful fear, while we waited in the bush to give them a scare. Screams and laughs were had all around, the Whangamumu night echoed with sound.
What a great day! We’re happy to say. So much fun, and so much play. Thank you for joining and reading this rhyme, we hope you get out today, and have a great time!
