Greetings from the Good Ship,

We started off today with a big downfall of rain which was our signal for a well deserved sleep in!

Once the rain had cleared it was time for the morning swim, followed by chores and breakfast.

Then the trainees learnt about rules of the road at sea, markers and beacons, weather, celestial navigation, chart navigation and history of the Bay of Islands. Heads full of knowledge, we went up on deck and did a line chase while there was a gap in the weather.

Lunch today was a big bowl of spaghetti Bolognese, which went down real well in this cold weather.

Then we spent the afternoon playing games, climbing the rigging for a quick blast from the chilly Southwesterlies, some trainees even went for a swim! Bracelets were made for those who completed the Tucker challenge and a cheeky hot choccy was in order for everyone.

Now we are waiting for the quiche to cook in the oven and the saloon is full of loud voices, playing Mafia.
