YTH2304 – Rā Tuawha – Day 4

Hey fans and bros, fancy seeing you here again..

So, this morning was miserable but we still all jumped in for our swim – a bit more slowly today though. We are all quite distracted now by who is going to kill us: the assassin game has begun. During meals and activities however, we are safe.

Today we started our day with pancakes on the BBQ cooked by Tyleisha, Carika, Ava and Lily. They went down a lot faster than the swimming! Then, Arihi briefed us on fishing and we had a go before it started raining again. Then, we went in for games on the beach and a swim on the floating trampoline we found. When we got back Kym had made us Mac and Cheese, which went down just about faster than the pancakes. After lunch, we had half-way quiet time including some painting and some naps.

In the afternoon, we sailed out through Kent Passage and back across the Bay with a few tacks along the way. The wind and swell are still quite strong but we are getting the hang of it now. We like going up the rigging, riding the bowsprit and steering and are getting to know the lines as well!

We are now safely anchored in Waiti Bay and are about to negotiate Boil Up for dinner and a later bedtime considering it is school holidays. We have chosen a photo of our skipper Terry today because he has kept us safe so far and is in charge of duties in the morning.

See ya tomorrow,

Us
