YTH 2411 – Ra Tuarua- Day 2

Our first full day together! We woke up this morning for our first morning swim, it was a beautiful morning with the sun shining and everybody got in really quickly. After this we learned our morning routine of cleaning before a big breakfast of spaghetti porridge and fruit.

Today we decided to take full advantage of the weather and went for both a morning and afternoon sail. We learned about how to operate our sails by handling our lines safely and then taking off toward Waewaetorea island where we had a snorkel and collected some kina.

In the afternoon we had a cracking sail setting 6 sails and having a practice at tacking the ship around before we headed into our anchorage at Oke bay for the night. Here we got to stowing our sails before having our delicious baked chicken for dinner. Tonight we have a few activities before getting an early bedtime as we are all very tired!
