What a first day, after we said our goodbyes we got moving, with a double reefed main and a reefed fore we motor sailed out to Roberton island. We got there in time for lunch so that we could enjoy our food without too much roll. Along the way we had some fun out on the bow sprit and also got to know each other a little bit more with some more games.
Following lunch we got settled in to our new home for the coming week and learned about where everything is. This lead us into learning about the ship and how to handle the lines and the sails safely so that we can get sailing on later days.
Unfortunately the rain spoiled our plan to go ashore as it was too wet so we have played some games and now moved the ship around to Orokawa bay where we will stay for the night. Tonight we are looking forward to some nachos and a brownie! And maybe some more games.
