Kia ora whanau,
We have had a fantastic start to our voyage. We have enjoyed getting to know each other and the ship.
After captain Pete gave a safety briefing we played a name game before we raised the main and the fore sail. After a feed of Mac n cheese, thanks to chef Tom, we had a ship orientation whilst we made our way towards Urquhart’s.
Once anchored we put on our harnesses and up the rigging and out on the bow spirt we went, it was a windy climb but an amazing view!
We are excited to put our line handling skills that we learnt into practice tomorrow.
Our tummies are now full of delicious nachos and brownie, thanks Nic, and we are currently anchored in Urquhart’s bay for the night getting ready for a game before bed.
We are getting on great and looking forward to tomorrow!
