Bunkered down in Te Puna inlet the day started with a windy morning swim, followed by pancakes for breakfast. Then we had a day below deck in the protection of the ship, because of the weather. We played a few games of werewolf and were taught some lessons about boating, road rules from the crew. After lunch, we competed in our 1st of 3 challenges, building spaghetti and marshmallow towers as the shipped swayed back and forth, hoping they wouldn’t collapse. For part two of thre, we were given an egg and a mixed assortment of items to keep our “children” safe for a drop from the top of the rigging. Two groups eggs cracked upon impact, but one groups egg “George” managed to survive the fall. For dinner lamb chops and potato bake was on the menu, Nick made us a lemon sour cream cake for A birthday. We also had some very interesting dessert dishes from the trainees, which was the third and final challenge for the day, with incredibly full stomachs and full of laughter from the day we have settled down for the night, looking forward to tomorrow’s adventures. Until then.
