Ahoy!

Summer is here, which means sunshine, long days and sailing in crystal clear waters. We have finished the last youth voyage of the season, and are now ready to open the sails to the public.

Our official summer season started on the 30th of November. We will be running Day Sails everyday and Sundowner Sails every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Join us and grab yourself a ticket here.

Covid Response

On the 2nd December, New Zealand moved into the Protection Framework (Traffic light system), this means that we will operating using the Government’s outline to operate over the summer.

To keep you and everyone on board safe, we will require all passengers to show their vaccination passport upon entry, or show a negative test (no older than 72 hours). This applies to children over the age of 12.

The good news is that we can operate during green, orange and red. You can read more about our policy on our Terms and Conditions.

Wrapping up our Youth Voyages

In November, we welcomed home our last youth voyage of the season. We have had an incredible year working with Tai Tokerau youth providing them with life-changing experiences and friendships for life.
Let’s look at the numbers for 2021:

  • 17 youth voyages
  • 204 trainees on board
  • 119 days out at sea with trainees

We thank everyone who has been part of our programme, including sponsors, parents, teachers, crew and of course, our wonderful trainees themselves. We’re always looking for ways to bring more trainees on board so we can continue impacting rangatahi in our community. Our dates and application forms for 2022 youth voyages will be available early next year on our website.

Check out our 2020 – 2021 Annual Report for more insights into our youth voyages.
