Kia Ora from the good ship R Tucker Thompson

Today we began with a dip in the water off Orokawa Bay, then motored over to Roberton Island. There we swam in the warm lagoon, rock climbed on steep rock faces then had some delicious lunch. After eating, Chantelle, Conor, Doreen and Aiyana all completed the Tucker challenge. Several trainees also learnt to drive the outboard dinghy. We then had a great sail under a double reefed main and came screaming along to our current location: Oke Bay! There we encountered some swells for some eventful beach landings. From there went ashore to play a few games and had a sandcastle building competition. Back on the ship we spotted heaps of baby hammerhead sharks around us and some went up the rigging for a better shark spotting view.
Goodnight all
