Kia ora friends and whanau!

It was an epic last day full of adventures. After a little sleep in, we woke for our usual morning swim.

After the morning routines and breakfast, we took the tender around the Black Rocks to go for a walk and explore Motorua Island. This little piece of paradise has some old gun emplacements to protect Aotearoa from the Japanese during World War II, as well as some beautiful wildlife.

We arrived back to the ship to the smell of lunch, pasta carbonara. After lunch we went for an awesome sail over to Marsden Cove. Archie B climbed up the rigging and loosed the topsails. Once again, the winds were strong, but the team stepped up to the challenge well. Marama and Mitchell did solid stints on the helm. On arrival we launched the tender and went for another explore ashore. Marsden cross has a lot of cool history which was interesting. We saw a cool lemon tree and Mish collected a few kawakawa leaves. As we look forward to our last dinner, the ship is alive with noise and laughs. A very cool trip, with some lifelong friendships made. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow at 1pm.
