Another day in paradise. It was a beautiful morning for the first swim of the trip. There were a few squeals, but all parties managed to jump in. After breakfast, we did some important lessons and line handling classes to get ready for a big afternoon sail. The team soaked up the knowledge well and before long it was lunchtime. After lunch, the two watches learned how to do engine checks and haul the anchor. There was a steady breeze coming through from the southwest, a perfect wind to head north to the Cavalli Islands. The trainees set the sails and we headed off on our course. We were hooning along at about 7 knots under sail. It was beeeaaauuuttiifful. We did a navigation session underway, made some brownies and chilled out on the bow spirit. Cody did an epic stint on the helm, steering for about an hour. We decided to call Mahinepua bay home for the night. It was a pretty big sail today and the team are coming together well. Looking forward to an awesome week full of adventures and laughs.
