Kia ora friends and Whanau of the good ship.

The mist rolled in this morning which made for an enjoyable morning swim. While waiting for the fog to lift we snuck in some weather, tide and anchoring lessons. After morning tea we weighed anchor and set the sails like bosses.

The team is coming together brilliantly and retaining information well. After a beautiful Cabonara for lunch we set the course and then did a man overboard drill. We slowly struck the sail as we approached our new anchorage over at Marsden Cross. The team jumped in for a quick swim before we dropped the small boats in the water. A few hours of fun followed in Lil tuck, our sailing dinghy and in the tender. Theo and Ashley were awesome helps in the galley baking bread and slice. Meanwhile Heemi Cole and Mickalea were having their best time sailing lil tuck by themselves. We squeezed in a walk up to the look out at Marsden cross before dinner to round out an action packed day. There is a lovely energy aboard the ship, it is just lovely to see all the awesome characters come out of their shells.

More and more tomorrow.
