Kia Ora Whanau,

Today we met up with Project Island Song and DOC on Moturua Island. We sat in for a korero with Miriam from DOC, with her two dogs Will and Ahu, they patrol the islands for pests and keep them predator free for the native birds that have been introduced there, to strive. Then we helped the volunteers weed out the Mexican devil and tobacco plant from the valley. Back aboard the young sailors had a quick feed and set sail, handling the boat almost completely by themselves. During the sail we got into some knot tying. Arriving at the beautiful Oke Bay for the night we had a huge swim and a couple of hours later, the ship feasted on some beautiful fish (freshly gifted Kahawai) and chips prepared by the captain himself on the BBQ.

P.S. Sorry for the late blog we were off grid last night with no reception.
