Nearing the end of the first day. We departed the wharf in Opua and made off as intrepid travellers to explore what Tangaroa has to offer. On our sail we learnt about the beautiful ship we will be living on and all about our ship mates we are sharing the experience with. We anchored up at Army Bay and made our way ashore to play some games so we could get out of our comfort zones and start bonding with each other. Back to the ship and it was all about the heights, we learnt how to put on our harnesses and all about how to safely climb the rigging. We are safely tucked in to the warm ship washing up the dishes from our sausage curry dinner.
