Kia Ora,

What a special start to a special voyage. After a beautiful pōwhiri at Haratu Marae we all got together outside for some name games and ice breakers before heading to our respective waka. Aboard the R Tucker Thompson we were quick to hoist some sail before getting to know each other better and familiarising ourselves with our new home. Sails down we headed to anchor, learnt, then went for a climb into the rigging. A few fun games later and we’re settling in for dinner. We look forward to meeting up with our Hine Moana whanau tomorrow.
