Welcome to day two! We began the day watching the sunrise with a refreshing morning swim. To celebrate some impressive manu’s, the trainees split into their sail stations to complete their chores while Nick cooked us up a feed of mince and macaroni cheese on toast. With full bellies and minds keen for adventure, we raised anchor and sails, headed north for the Cavalli Islands. During the sail we baked some cookies to have with lunch.

Each sail team learnt more about their stations, keen to learn all they could. With a bit of swell coming through, the trainees chose to harness up and pile into the bow sprit netting to go for a ride. Once anchored up Waiiti bay, everyone harnessed up and challenged themselves by completing an “up and over” climbing up one side of the rigging, atop the mast, then down the other side. We then had a fun afternoon of trying to catch fish off the boat and playing group games.

Dinners up! After some honey soy chicken, cauliflower, cheese sauce and mash to fuel us, we’ll head to the beach for a game of spotlight. It’s been a banger of a day. Thanks for reading, tune in next time.
