YTH 2408 – Rā Tuawha – Day 4

What a beautiful sunrise in the Cavalli Islands this morning, with minimal wind it was quite a warm swim. We were into breakfast and into our chores. It was our last day here before heading back to the Bay of Islands and took the opportunity for a quick snorkel around the rocks. We picked kina, saw a few pack horse crayfish and plenty of fish about. The water was crystal clear. We headed back to the ship for lunch, a yummy sausage sizzle. It was now time to leave, but not before checking out some more cracks and caves. We jumped into the tender and went exploring. We saw a baby seal giving himself belly scrubs in the cave. What a magical place. We loaded back up and sailed the long route around, taking in our last moments in this wonderful place. We are now heading back to the Bay of Islands enjoying our night sail. We will be anchoring in Paradise Bay, Urupukapuka Island for the night. When we get there we’ll have a delicious shepherds pie for dinner. Another full on day today, with more adventures to come. We will keep in touch. Ma te wa!
