YTH 2417 – Rā Tua Tahi – Day 1

The slight drizzle that met the trainees at the wharf certainly didn’t dampen any spirits, once on board they were equipped with their own wet weather gear and got straight into setting sails as we made our way towards a beautiful anchorage on Moturua island. After enjoying a delicious Mac n cheese lunch made by Rach, we all got ready to head to shore. We hiked up to a view point that allowed us to see where we would explore for the week and we came up with ideas of what we would like to achieve. Our way down involved some group games and some time at the beach. Once back at the ship we all jumped off the boat getting in for a swim while enjoying the rain around us, a hot Milo and nachos for dinner awaited us when getting out of the water.

Currently planing our day for tomorrow and organising sail stations, excited for tomorrows adventures!
