Today we all made our way to Opua, the beginning of an epic week. We said goodbye to our whānau and set sail down the river. We played games and learnt more about the ship underway. Once anchored up in Motuarohia Island it was time for lunch, mac n cheese, so delicious. After that massive feed it was time to walk it off, up to the lookout. We made it to the top and saw our playground for the week. So many places to explore. We even saw a pod of dolphins from up there. We spoke about goals and what we wanted to get out of the week. After taking in the view we headed back down for a quick beach game and a swim off the ship. An introduction to climbing was our next mission, up and over we went. The day is going pretty fast, nachos for dinner. Tonight we will learn more about the ship and come up with a plan for the week. We’re excited for what’s to come tomorrow. Until then. Ma te wa!
