A stunning day greeted us, for the first day of voyage. Leaving the dock we got straight to work raising sail and set course for Army bay. Underway we learnt some of the safety rules and then got into a name game to learn a little more about each other, just as we finished that a delicious Mac n cheese was served full lunch, with everyone going in for seconds and thirds. Arriving into the stunning army bay we dropped anchor and all headed to shore for a short hike up to a lookout, where we could see a great view of the bay and all the areas we can explore. Sitting and enjoying the view we discussed what we wanted to achieve from the week, once we were all happy with our plans, we made the hike back down to the beach playing a quick game of camouflage before heading back to the ship. A few brave trainees jumped off the boat for a swim as we prepped for dinner and settled in for the night. Nachos followed by carrot cake was the perfect way to end our day, lots of laughter and excitement for tomorrow fills the ship. Until then.
