Ahoy there from the R Tucker Thompson
Day 6 . Our second last day on the good ship R Tucker Thompson.
Once again a refreshing start to the day with a plunge, jump, dive or swim from the ship from over overnight anchorage.
A warming breakfast consumed and we were off on our last full today together to Cape Brett and the Hole in the Rock.
Proudly under sail set by the trainees tackling the swell we arrived at the Hole in the Rock. There was much excitement as we were welcomed by large pod of dolphins right at the bow of the ship.
They must have brought us luck as conditions were favourable for everyone to experience going back and forth through the Hole in the Rock in the tender.
Some yummy scones accompanied by some freshly cooked trevally and snapper caught and filleted last evening by our passionate fishing trainees was hit at lunch. An extra thankyou to Lexi, Tupu, and Hayley for filleting those slippery fish.
With our energy replenished there was the opportunity to do a 2 hour hike from Cape Brett Light House to Deep Water Cove, or assist the captain with sailing the ship to Deep water to rendezvous with the weary hikers. Congratulations to Tupu and Emily for overcoming some personal challenges.
Time to get the Tucker underway and get to Paroa Bay for our last evening anchoage.
A full roast dinner to celebrate our final evening meal together.
Po marie and see you tomorrow at 1pm!
