The day began with a splash as we were greeted by a lone dolphin swimming around Oke Bay, he hung around while we did our morning routine and with the sun rising up over Rakaumangamanga, and soon enough we were blasting towards Deep Water Cove. Unfortunately our horseshoe floatation device leapt over the side of the ship so we spun around for a ‘Man Overboard’ drill and thanks to our prior training we recovered him quickly and continued on our journey. Once in the cove we jumped into some reef exploration, before getting back to the warmth of the ship for lunch. Soon we set sail across the Bay and took an impromptu turn to a secret spot for the afternoon. A place with unreal reefs, friendly sea mammals, rocky archways and a beach with the best collection of shells ever! We got distracted by the magic for so long that we decided to ride the evening breeze for a beautiful night sail under the stars to our anchorage for the night Paroa Bay.
