YTH2404 – Ra Tuarima – Day 6

What a difference a week makes! Today was their day, their elected captain took over and the crew was ready, unfortunately the wind didn’t turn up, the ocean was dead calm. This lead to us having to change plans a little. Starting with a big pancake breakfast before launching into a snorkeling session at deep water cove, where we saw bucket loads of big snapper, sting rays and a school of kingfish!

After our swim we got dry and warm and headed out to the cape where we got to go through the hole in the rock. Before going ashore at Cape Brett for some quiet time. Having lunch underway we motored all the way to the other side of the bay where we have anchored at Wairoa Bay right next to the Te Pahi islands. This is where we will be for our last night on board with a sausage sizzle ashore for dinner and possibly spotlight, to come once it once it’s dark!
