YTH2414 – Rā Tuaono – Day 6

Good morning! Time to get up for our swim! The water is a bit chilly down here. We were soon into our morning chores. Scrambled eggs and creamy corn on toast for breaky. Today we had our last chance to do activities so we went diving, hiking and shell picking this morning. Back to the ship for lunch, toasted cheese sandwich’s with pumpkin soup. So delicious. It was now time to pickup anchor for our voyage south. Its trainee takeover day, time for us to sail the ship through its last leg. “ All hands on deck!” Captain Indi orders. “ Get to your stations” first mate Madi yells. We set sails and headed on our journey⛵️ We were blessed by a pod of 7 Common dolphins under way🐬 so magical. We sailed to Bream Head where we were met by 4 Brydes whales feeding on schooling fish 🐋 We hung out with them watching them barrel roll past us. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We left them to enjoy their dinner and headed to our calm night anchorage at Smugglers Bay ⚓️ We’re looking forward to a sunset fishing session and our last dinner tonight, roast pork and veges. Later on we will be sitting on the deck, star gazing in our blankets and reflecting on our week.
This will be our last post for this voyage. Thank you for following our epic journey. Until tomorrow.
