YTH 2118 – Toru Ra

Kia ora family and friends of the sailors on board the good ship R tucker Thompson

Today has been an absolute epic day very full on outdoor adventures, happiness, and good spirits. It started basically like every day, with a delightful morning swim followed by chores etc.

The plan today was to visit the Hole in the rock by Cape Brett. Unfortunately, despite the outstanding weather, the swell was still too big to launch the tender and go through it.

Nevertheless, deep water cove just next door was our next anchorage where lunch was enjoyed. Quick briefing before the snorkeling/free dive , and we all hopped onto our Tucker express to reach the reef.

Visibility was awesome and the sea-life life spectacular. Seth and I eventually free dived together. Magic feeling…  We spend an hour and half in the water with everybody.

Meanwhile, Abbey (crew) and Bianca baked us a banana cake for afternoon tea that was enjoyed by every single person on board without exception.

Abbey and myself brought all the trainees onto a little expedition following a waterfall upstream.

The energy on the ship is just so pleasant to watch but also as crew, it is just pure delight to have such an awesome group of young people.

Beautiful day and beautiful dinner to close up another day in paradise.

Bonne nuit.
