YTH 2118 – Wha Ra

Kia Ora Whanau.

An awesome day indeed. This morning following devotions, we got stuck into some fun rotations in small groups. Climbing the rigging and completing the tucker challenge was mixed in with tender lessons and sailing our lil tuck. All with the waterfall noise and beautiful deep water cove in the background.

We jumped in and had a quick swim in the sunshine before lunch, summer is well and truly here.

After lunch we got through some important navigation, rules of the road and buoys/beacons lessons. We then weighed anchor, set loads of sail (including Course and flying jib wooo hooo) and set off for Rangihoua. We had a much needed snooze on the passage, did some tacks and generally had a fabulous time. The team handled the ship like seasoned pros. We dropped anchor, had dinner and are now enjoying the sunset.

Po Marie.
