Kia Ora Whanau

This morning we motored over to deep water cove and went for a snorkel, we saw a puffer fish and a whole heap of other sea life, while we were snorkelling a few of our fellow trainees stayed behind and made some banana bread . After our snorkel we ate the banana bread and did some tucker challenges. These included one member from each team (one team consisting of 4 people) dressing up as a pirate and singing a sea shanty. Another one was taste testing, we put a blind fold on and ate some concoctions that Cody made up. Then we went over to Oke bay and had some lunch, it was good as. Next we assigned roles (such as captain, watch leaders etc.) for each trainee and was given control of the ship for two hours with the task of sailing to Pareanui bay. The sailing was fairly smooth and, apart from some slight changes to the course, everything went as planned. Once we had arrived at Pareanui bay some of us had a refreshing swim while others relaxed in the saloon. Now we are watching the sunset and waiting to eat some mean roast for our last dinner.
