Firstly, we saw a kiwi last night! One stood still at eye level within arms reach and four were seen running away from us. When we walked out of the bush we were greeted by the most beautiful arrangement of stars we’d ever seen. The tender ride back was just as beautiful with the bioluminescence bouncing off our wake as we zipped back to the ship. Our morning routine began as usual with a dip in the water. Breakfast was up with delicious pancakes by Chef Andre. It was now time to head ashore for a hike around Moturua Island for a bird hunt for our native birds. We saw plenty of Tui, Saddleback and Kakariki. We played games on the beach and headed back to the ship for a sausage sizzle for lunch. It was time to cool off so we zipped out on the tender to a perfect spot in a calm bay for a quick dip. We had such a wonderful time here at Moturua but it was time to leave. We lifted the hook, set sail and are now heading toward Harakeke Island to explore some exciting cave systems there. It was a delicious cottage pie on deck for a wonderful sunset dinner on deck. We’re setting ourselves up for a glorious night sail under the stars to our night anchorage, Paradise Bay. Another full on day today with so much more activities to follow. We’ll check back in tomorrow. Until then!
