Today is the beginning of our epic adventure. After arriving at Opua we got to meet our fellow trainees, play some games at and then set sails headed for Paradise bay- Urupukapuka island. Whilst under sail we had macaroni and cheese for lunch and began learning everyone’s name, as we rounded Tapeka point the wind picked up and we had an awesome sail as we made our way to our anchorage. Once we had dropped anchor we spent dome time learning our way around the ship, before challenging ourselves with a climb up the rigging and completing a “up and over” we still had so time before dinner, so a bunch of us jumped in for an evening swim to finish the day!
Curently having some delicious nachos for dinner while we plan out what we want to achieve for the week, excited to see what tomorrow brings. Pō mārie
