With another beautiful start to the day the trainees were once again in the water.
Some even swam right around the ship, others did forward flips and Manu’s.
Straight in to morning duties before enjoying a delicious breakfast which the trainees devoured.
With full bellies, Mana, Leon, Journey, Tui, and Laura completed the Tucker challenge and earned their stripes.
Harley enjoyed paddling in Lil Tuck and also completing some tender lessons along with Soul, Leon, Journey, Tuihana, Shawnee, Manaorewa, Kjan, Sean-john, Laura and Shamiecah.
Georgia was being a great galley hand down below helping to make everyone pizzas for lunch which some of the trainees later on came to help complete.
Once the activities were all completed, the trainees hoisted the tender and anchor- Kjan plotted us a new course towards Te Puna inlet.
Along the way we had a quick stop at Turtle Island, opposite the black rocks.
The trainees enjoyed a quick walk to the top where an old pa site is located.
On the way back, some went for a dive, while others collected oysters.
We have just hoisted the anchor once again with main, fore and headsails all up. We have set a course towards our night anchorage in Te Puna inlet- Chynna Bay, which has a huge grassy beach for us to enjoy beach games, a campfire, and many songs on our last night.
Our plan for dinner is to cook a sausage sizzle over the fire with marshmallows for desert.
Don’t forget to pick the trainees up at 1pm tomorrow from the OPUA wharf!

We all look forward to seeing you then!
Goodnight!
