The R. Tucker Thompson Sail Training Trust invites applications from candidates interested in delivering our kaupapa Learning for Life Through the Sea.

We are looking for new Trustees to join our board. Our trustees play a vital role in the R. Tucker Thompson Sail Training Trust achieving its core purpose, to enhance the lives of Northland youth.

Trustees oversee the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that the R. Tucker Thompson Sail Training Trust has a clear strategy and that its work and goals are in line with its vision. Just as importantly, they support the executive team to enable the R. Tucker Thompson Sail Training Trust to grow and thrive, and through this, achieve our mission of Learning for Life Through the Sea.

The organisation is seeking Trustees with strong governance experience, a financial background and a keen interest in supporting the next phase of strategic direction for the Trust.

The organisation has stable and thriving management, consistently delivering impactful results in youth development and Qualmark Gold standard tourism and commercial experiences. We invite innovative, visionary, and strategic thinkers to bring their skills and broader thinking to guide the next chapter in the Trust’s progression.
