We began our day with our inevitable morning swim off the beautiful Tutukaka coast.
Straight into morning duties which was followed with a scrumptious breakfast. While breakfast dishes were being completed, Jacob took a team of trainees above deck and led a class on hoisting the main, fore and headsails. The anchor and sails were hoisted and off we went. We set a course for smugglers bay. Kayla took the helm at first. Some of the trainees enjoyed singing many waiatas. We completed a 30 minutes of silence before being visited by a pod of curious common dolphins. Then it was time for a delicious soup lunch.
On arrival we dropped sails and anchor, launched the tender and off we went towards the beach to complete the challenging but rewarding walk that mount lion has to offer. Croatia led the way followed by Jesse, Paige, Rachel, Moata and Nathaniel. Jacob, Gregory and Kayla set the pace for the middle ground. While Skye, Tayla and Douglas hung at the back. Back at the beach the trainees were exhausted but very proud of themselves. Feeling very accomplished. Once we arrived back to the ship some left over lunch was heated up for the trainees needing extra energy. The trainees gathered around the saloon table sniffing in the beautiful smells of dinner coming from the galley. Tonight we will be enjoying an amazing pork roast dinner.
I look forward to seeing you all at 1pm at Marsden cove arena.. we will be located at PIER C for those interested.

Goodnight!!
