Kia ora family and friends!
Only a quick blog today as we are currently sailing and about to head into Parekura Bay again for the night.
Today was trainee day! The day was completely planned and organized by the trainees themselves. They elected Tonee as captain and Chance as first mate who lead an adaptive plan with a great team of competent crew! The staff had little to do while trainees took command. They sailed the ship from Orokawa to Urupukapuka Bay, then after lunch went ashore for a hike up to the lookout at the top of the hill as a squall blew through, followed by rainbows. Then after hot chocolates back on the ship, they set sail again. Which is what we are doing now: sailing into the sunset in what is now a pleasant breeze. We are about to drop anchor, got to get back on deck.
See you in Opua tomorrow at 1pm! Good night from everyone on the R Tucker, Voyage 2005!
