Good evening friends and Whanau of the Good ship R Tucker Thompson.
Very wet and windy morning today. But smiles and good spirits remains on board. The weather has not stopped us for the classic morning swim and chores. However, the wind did restrain us in terms of sailing, but just at the morning. So instead, lesson and bracelet making had taken place down below deck. Everyone gets one around their ankle once they completed the tucker challenge. And obviously all of them has complete it successfully. Gales are just easing down after lunch so time for a sail toward another shelter against the strong northwesterlies. In fact, the sail was highly enjoyed and we did lots of tacks to practice how to manoeuvre the good ship. Archie B got us out of the bay very well. Katie and Wai together formed an amazing team working aloft up the rigging. Te Arani seems to be well heard as leading the sail station on deck.
The night anchorage tonight will be on the southern side of Moturua island which should avoid the vessel rolling with the swell still present on the bay. Michell and Archie S are currently cooking us a Lasagna that is going to be very much enjoyed by all of us. Good brew so far.
Po Marie, goodnight
