YTH-2107 Wha Ra

Kia Ora friends of the RTT.

Another day in paradise. We went for an awesome walk this morning around Urupukapuka. We saw some baby shags, pulled out some Wattle trees and saw heaps of Tieke. Then we went for a walk up to the trig and talked about some cool stuff. We sat under a rather large Pohutukawa for 30 minutes of silence. After some nice shore time we headed back to the ship for some kai. After lunch we learned some navigation skills, before heading off. We set the main, fore and head sails and ventured out into the open sea. An awesome pod of common dolphins came and hung out with us for a bit. This was pretty cool as we don’t often see these guys in the bay. After a fun afternoon sail we headed into Te Hui bay, where we let out heaps of chain in preparation for this approaching weather system. We are super grateful for a lovely spell of weather so far and are now looking forward to it getting a bit exciting and windy. Josh just cooked us a lovely feed of Lasagna, looking forward to another evening of music and laughter.
