Kia ora whanau of the good ship R Tucker Thompson

Day one with our young pirates full of enthusiasm and already, it is a success. The weather kinda played with us with some odd shower but it didn’t stop the fun happening.

After leaving Opua wharf, we’ve learnt to know each other with the famous name and likes game. Once bags were unpacked, a safety tour and a quick introduction about climbing up the rig took place.

Today the anchor is dropped at Army Bay by Moturua Island where we went for a trip ashore to play some fun beach games and walked to the Pha located on the highest point of the land, meanwhile our first mate Abbey is brewing us a delicious lasagna.

The water is blue turquoise out there, and they are all having their best time jumping off the ship using the rope swing. Little Kyle is full of energy and good vibes which is highly appreciated from his peers.

Everyone is excited to know each other more and to explore the bay of island.

More fun and sailing stories coming up through the weekend.

Po marie.
